Founded by Rhuigi Villaseñor in 2015, L.A-based Streetwear staple – “R H U D E” has quickly become a favourite to athletes, celebrities, and everyday fashion connoisseur’s. Teaming up with the German sportswear giant once more, RHUDE and Puma unveil the all new “CELL King”. Inspired by motorsport, and infused with the DNA of retro football, Rhuigi’s latest design serves as a nod to the famed Jil Sander iteration of the Puma King back in 1998, one of the earliest examples of collaboration between Sportswear and Designer.
The all new CELL King, with an upper borrowed from the 1968 Puma King – features a premium leather upper with football inspired stitching, a removable tongue piece, and a silky suede formstripe. Rounding off the sneaker, is a vintage-effect off-white midsole complete with CELL technology for added cushioning. RHUDE’s logo can be seen embossed on the tongue, with additional co-branding found on the heels of the runner.
